Data Analytics Through the Years – 29 and Counting

Retirement brings a certain degree of freedom and the time to do something with that freedom. In my case, it allows me to write about things I enjoy – data analytics – without having to get approval from senior management (except for my wife).   After 28 years of working for organizations that were reluctant to share their lessons-learned, I am free to write about the challenges and successes I experienced as an internal auditor, data analyst and consultant.

My blog will take you from my first attempts to use data analytics to where I am today – with examples from internal audit and consulting work I performed.   I hope it will prompt others to contribute their experiences and, as a result, provide a bit of edification for younger auditors and maybe even for a few of us old dogs.
